A No-Heat Curling Method That Is Easy To Implement and Works Incredibly Well
I have been on my wavy hair journey for a couple of years now and have been trying to find ways to boost my natural texture as well as prolong my styling. I have spent my whole life trying and failing to figure out how to have my (what I thought was my straight yet temperamental) hair hold a curl longer than 20 minutes/stepping outside (whichever came first). I could never figure out or have the patience for hot irons (and a style that took an hour would be gone in a quarter of that time usually), I hated putting in and sleeping in rollers. On a bit of a whim I picked this up and gave it a try and – wow. The method was super easy to learn and with a bit of trial and error I have been able to play around with different curl sizes and styles. Whether dry or misted with a bit of salt water I wake up with bouncy, well defined ringlets every morning – all I have to do is shake them out, give my roots a bit of a flip and tousle, and either let them fall where they want to be a bit naturally or separate my ringlets a bit then gently comb them out with a wide tooth comb or my fingers, maybe add a spritz of hair spray if it’s a humid or rainy day then enjoy beautiful loose curls all day. I don’t want to say it’s life changing, but it’s definitely hair changing and it has made doing my hair so much easier. I feel 80% more put together and dressed for the day just by taking out my curl set.I was afraid sleeping on it would be uncomfortable or end up mussing up my curls but even as a side sleeper I don’t find myself having any trouble at all with either comfort or slippage. I do wish that the set came with a claw clip since it’s included in the instructions (especially for the price) but luckily I had one laying around.

A Must
My hair has gone from never being able to hold a curl in my 31 years of life, to being curled all day. I purchased this to try and learn the heatless curling technique. I really Wanted to get a high end curler made from silk, but didn’t want to spend the money until I learned The technique and knew I would Be able to sleep through the night with it in. I have Successfully used this every single night for about 2 months now. I’ve perfected a method that works best for my hair type. I have Long straight hair that is on the thinner side. After washing my hair, I will Blow dry it, lightly run a straightener over it to reduce frizz, then put this contraption on to my head and hair. Initially the crown method was my go to, but I’ve recently switched back to the original method where it’s on their side of your head like pigtails. I do Not use water. I do Put some hair oil on my lengths and a bit on the roots to reduce any frizz. I use The L’Oréal miracle oil. That stuff truly IS a miracle. I also sometimes will spray a bit of hairspray over it once it’s in my hair. I do Sleep with a satin bonnet nightly which I’m sure also helps the style to form. Once you get what works for you down, this thing works great! I dont Wash my hair daily, about every 3 days, and second and third day hair come out just as good using this. Recommend giving it a try

Affordable and less damaging to your hair
The Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set is designed for those seeking a heat-free method to achieve curls overnight. Here’s an overview of its features, benefits, and potential drawbacks based on user feedback:Features: • Heatless Curling: The primary benefit is its ability to curl your hair without damaging it with heat tools. It is made to be used while you sleep, saving time and minimizing heat exposure. • Satin Material: The satin fabric is gentle on the hair, reducing friction and frizz, which is especially useful for preventing breakage and maintaining smooth curls. • Includes Curling Rod & Scrunchies: The set typically comes with a long satin rod and matching satin scrunchies to secure the ends of your hair after wrapping them around the rod. • Comfort: Designed to be worn overnight, the satin material is soft against the scalp and comfortable while sleeping.Benefits: • Prevents Heat Damage: Since it is heatless, it protects hair from the typical damage caused by heated styling tools like curling irons or straighteners. • Convenient: You can achieve curls overnight with minimal effort, making it ideal for busy mornings. • Frizz Control: The satin helps reduce frizz, leading to smoother, shinier curls. • Reusable: Eco-friendly since it’s a one-time purchase you can reuse as often as needed.Drawbacks: • Results May Vary: Different hair textures and lengths may see varied results. Those with thicker hair may need more product or practice to get consistent curls. • Learning Curve: Some users report that it takes time to master the technique to ensure even curls without tangling or awkward positioning. • Sleeping Comfort: While soft, it may still take getting used to sleeping with the rod in place, and some users may find it slightly uncomfortable.Overall Verdict:The Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set is an affordable, gentle way to achieve curls without heat damage. It works particularly well for those with fine to medium hair, though it may require some trial and error to perfect the technique. It’s a solid option if you’re looking to maintain hair health while styling overnight.

Heatless Curling Set!
I used this for the first time. Photo on the left is before and on the right is after. It was a pretty quick and simple process; a lot less time consuming than a traditional curling iron or straightener, plus it doesn’t use heat – so less damage on your hair – what a bonus! After I took it out, I brushed it out, and used a flexible hairspray. It held it in place for several hours, then after that the curls began to gradually slowly come out. But honestly, my hair is extremely straight, fine, and silky so it’s always challenging when I do anything to it. But I highly recommend this curling set!! This makes it more motivating for me to curl/style my hair more often because of how easy it is to use!

Effortless and it works.
I am really happy with this curling set. One of my friends tried it and it worked really well for her so I decided to finally try. I was skeptical since it is such a simple and cheap method to curl your hair. It is really quick and easy to set up. I just wrapped my dry hair in sections adding segments as I went along. When I got to the bottom, I wrapped the scrunchie around twice, then folded the foam piece over it and wrapped the scrunchie around one more time to secure it in place. After moving around, the foam piece kind of settled off the back of my head, so I was skeptical that it would stay in place all night, but it actually did. Only my front layer piece that is shorter came out over night. I have pretty long hair, which I think this type of curler is ideal for. The longer your hair, the more secure I think it will hold in place over night. I was really happy with how the curls turned out in the morning. My hair is naturally straight and doesn’t hold a curl well at all, and I think they turned out prettier than if I had curled them with heat. I work in healthcare and do not style my hair in the morning since I have to wake up at 5:00 am and only have a couple of minutes to get ready, but am definitely doing to start adding this to my nightly routine so I can look like I actually put in some effort. If you are on the fence, I recommend giving it a try! It’s worth not having to do your hair or damage it either. It’s kind of awkward sleeping with it in, but it stayed in place and that is all I was hoping for. My husband did make fun of me when I was wearing it so it was an added bonus that it entertained him as well.

So easy for beginners, Where has this been all my life??
I made it a small mission of mine to become more in touch with my femininity and this tool really brought out my curls!! I only used once and the tutorials I watched on youtube were incredibly helpful – even for a beginner! All I did was take a shower, waited a while for most of my hair to dry, and then I started wrapping! When I was done, I made sure to squirt some water on both sides to really set those curls in. I slept with them in and to be honest, I forgot they were there (I’m a side sleeper so that should tell you something) .I have always wanted to curl my hair but didn’t love the maintenance that goes into it. This makes it much easier! Thank you Kitsch for making me feel beautiful 🙂

Great Product – Buy a Hair Clip Though!
Just received this last night. Tried it out this morning with freshly washed hair and conditioned hair. Its easy to use for the most part but would highyly recommend buying a hair clip to hold it in place on top of your head while wrapping hair. Picture shows my hair after a few hours of being wrapped and taken down. Please note, I do not have any additional hair products in my hair, so it does look a little frizzy at the top but the curls came out awesome! (but thats just my hair sometimes)

Works Well for Long, Thick Hair – Could Use Some Improvements
The Heatless Curling Set does a good job creating soft, no-heat curls, especially for those with long, thick hair. However, I wish it had a flexible band or strap at the ends to secure it more comfortably around the head. While it’s a bit pricey, it’s currently the only option I’ve found in this length and size. Overall, it’s effective, but a few small design changes could make it even better.

OMG. MY STRAIGHT HAIR HAS CURLS! I NEEDED 2.
I’m 66 yrs old & have always had a hard time curling my hair. It either doesn’t curl, the curls fall out, or it simply takes too long to curl it when I need to be somewhere. I have a lot of hair & it’s long. I tried curling it w/ one of these. The front was fairly curly but the back was just ok. So I bought another & now my hair looks evenly curled. I put Kenra styling gel 17 in my wet hair & blow dry just my roots on a lg round brush where my part’s going to be. I leave my hair damp & make a zig zag part down the center back. My hair had a noticeable part at the top when dry when I made a straight part down the back. Making a zig zag part before curling it gave me a better result. It doesn’t have to be a perfect zig zag. I use clips to keep the sections separate. Then I separate the sides at the front of my ears. I again use clips to keep the sections separate. Then I put a Kitsch on top towards the back of my hair & start wrapping. I run a comb through occasionally to keep my hair smooth & lightly spray the ends w/ water if they get dry before I finish wrapping them. Once all my hair is wrapped, I will put a diffuser on my blow dryer & dry the root area just because my hair is so thick. It sounds like a lot. But I had it down the 2nd time I curled my hair. These are incredible! I sleep on my back. So I don’t find them to be uncomfortable at all, even w/ 2 in my hair. In the morning , I fluff my hair & use a light hairspray. It takes 2 minutes to do my hair & there’s no risk of burning myself. My curls loosen a bit; but, last for days. I have tried every hot tool on the market & never had the success these give me. Watch several YouTube videos before trying it yourself.

Effortless Curls
The Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set is an absolute game-changer for my hair routine! I was skeptical at first, but after using it, I’m blown away by how easy it is to get beautiful, bouncy curls without using any heat. The satin material is super gentle on my hair, preventing any frizz or breakage, and my curls last all day long. It’s so simple to use—I just wrap my hair around the rod before bed, and when I wake up, I have perfect curls! No more spending time with a curling iron or worrying about heat damage. Plus, the set is comfortable enough to sleep in, which is a huge bonus. If you’re looking for a way to get gorgeous, natural curls without heat, this set is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Easy to use and great results!
I was a bit skeptical that it wouldnt work or stay on my hair as I move around in my sleep a lot. It stayed put and gave me easy curls in the morning! This will be a game changer for me since I have little kids and can barely get ready for events anymore 😆

I don’t have much time to do anything to my hair. So this works great. I do have to find a way for the curls to stay longer, but overall the curls look great in the morning as I leave it on over night.

This ACTUALLY works, I was hesistant at first. I didnt receive this for free or As a promotion. I am sold! It takes a couple times to practice wrapping but once you get it down it’s like muscle memory. I watched a few tutorials and then woke up with amazing hair!

Works well enough
I used to braid my hair overnight when it was damp to curl it, but since I got layers in my hair that has been kind of difficult. This is a great alternative. There just isn’t a good way to store it unless you put it in a drawer or something. Would be cute if it came with a matching drawstring bag to make it more aesthetically pleasing when not in use.

Pleasantly surprised!
I bought this after caving to social media ads. I am not very hair savvy so I was skeptical, BUT i can’t believe how well this works! Super easy to use and actually really comfortable to sleep in, and this is coming from someone who finds those overnight nose strips too annoying. Go figure!

The Hype is Valid!
I’ve seen this trending for a couple of years and…. I finally understand. it’s comfortable to sleep in and I paired it with smaller pillow rollers from the same brand on the back of my head. Felt weird but comfortable to sleep in and the curls are fabulous. I have fine hair so I went with the smaller size/thinner one instead of the Jumbo/thicker one because I want the curls to not fall. So far: 6 hours of curls with a light texture spray and they’ve held up!

Useful
Stays on all night, easy to use, and cuts doing your hair down time by like 75 percent. This brand is the only one I like that I’ve tried because it’s firm and it isn’t flimsy. It also helps prevent heat damage from curling my hair daily.

Good for the long haired girlies
I bought this because I absolutely hate curling my hair, especially with a hot tool, it sends me into a panic attack. However I tried it twice and both times it did not work. My hair is thin and on the shorter side, but definitely long enough to get some good curls in there. I feel bummed about it but I’m sure it will work when my hair gets longer.

If I can do it, you can
WOW! I have been looking for a way to get nice curls without using heat all the time. I was really skeptical because this looked like an option that took a lot of practice. If you want to look like the models while wearing the curler, it will take work, but the results are not dependent upon how tidy it looks when you put it on. I can’t believe I was successful the first time. Pointers/tips/thoughts: 1. I am 51, which means my hair is dry. It’s long, but because it’s in a ponytail for working out or in a hat sometimes, and because I color it and heat it, I have a lot of breakage. So, I wrapped all of those shorter top strands first and secured them mid-way up the curling rod with my own silk pony tail holders. After that I wrapped the rest. 2. You only need the one rod, just as the kit comes. My hair is just below my shoulders when straight and there was plenty of rod left for longer hair. That said, a second kit could help to simply be able to wrap those shorter strands if you have the same problem I do. 3. Wrap your hair tightly. You secure the rod with a clip at the top of your head for wrapping (and then take it off), so a more narrow clip is better for getting that tight wrap. 4. There’s no other need or metric for perfection in the wrap. It’s idiot/klutz proof. I am the living example. 5. I put it in my dry hair before bed, but misted it lightly while doing the other things I needed to do before going to sleep. I think this was a good idea but probably isn’t mandatory given how light my mist was. 6. I sleep on a bamboo pillowcase and I strongly believe that the results will be better on bamboo or silk. So while you are buying this product, which you really should if you are at all considering it, I would say also find a bamboo or silk pillow case. It’s better for your hair in general and better for your skin too (I have one dedicated just for travel that I bring with me everywhere). But most importantly, you want to have a pillowcase that will not interfere with the results of the curler. 7. I think results would even be better with clean hair. Mine was on day 3 and when I put them in. I combed my hair, but it was otherwise looking terrible. Finally, 8. It was SO comfortable I forgot immediately that I had it on. There was zero interference in my sleep (sleep tracker confirms this statement).Pic of me right out of bed. I literally got up, put on my run clothes, took off the curlers, had a moment of amazement, and right away snapped the one pic. No fussing at all. I can’t even imagine what it will look like when I have more experience. This was my first try. If this is bed head I look forward to many more mornings!!!!! (just bummed the first thing I had to do today was go for a run, and it rained- lol)

LOVE this. My new travel staple
This thing has changed my hair game. I’m very protective of not using heat on my hair to keep it healthy and this is exactly what I needed. I’ve tried other similar products that are less comfortable and have worse results but this one is so pretty. Although I would share the tip, make sure to use larger sections of hair when wrapping around to get the best effect. Its even worked on a time crunch when I didn’t have a curling iron at a hotel – put this on and used a hair dryer to heat the hair around, gave it time to cool a voila! 🙂

Don’t normally write reviews, but I love this thing
It is just so easy. My hair is on day 3 in the pics. I tried wetting my hair after watching some tutorials (light misting) day 1, didn’t curl it day 2 and had plenty of waves. This is day 3 and I put the curling thing in last night without wetting before and just misted it when done. People were saying that they felt it was easier to braid when it was wet, but I thought it was actually harder to braid. But I was also used to braiding my hair all the time in high school for band. SoBraiding it dry was much easier for me to get it smooth and then misting it after and it curled beautifully.

So this sort of works. It really does a nice job curling your hair overnight and they seem to stay in all day but the process is a little hard to do if you watch the videos. It almost seems like you need two of them.

Spritz a little hairspray first
The first night it did well I thought, (photo #1) I only had to touch up a few spots with my curler and then I lightly sprayed a little hairspray.Last night though, so night #2, it curled way more! I’m guessing it was because it had a smudge of hairspray left in it, but dang I am so impressed! (Photo #2)Update****Day 3 and the curls just keep getting better! I added a third photo for reference. Tomorrow is wash day for my hair, and I did the heatless curler again last night, and my hair looks amazing! On day 1 I did a smudge of hairspray but other than that all I’ve done is a little castor oil on my ends and my hair seriously looks like I curled it with my curling iron (hair straightener actually lol but whatever). I can’t recommend this enough!

Very comfortable.
Soft enough to sleep on, but a bit stiffer than expected to wrap. Take larger sections or you’ll have very tight curls.

Perfect curls
I’ll be honest and say these can be a little uncomfortable to sleep in, but it’s not too bad. There’s a lot of different ways you can wrap your hair around it to create different curls. Check out some TikTok tutorials! For my long haired girlies (Like hair to your waist or longer) I knocked off a star because this particular one is not long enough. I cut my hair recently but when I first got this, my hair was down to my lower back, and as I was wrapping, I ran out of space and still had several inches of hair left! I had to scrunch my hair upwards and wrap it back in on itself to make it work. It’s not an issue anymore, but thought I would throw that out there.

Effective heatless product
I really strongly suggest looking up a tutorial on youtube. Written instructions are fine, but video was extremely helpful. You can see from the photos I use the “unicorn” method because I am a side sleeper. I took the wire out of the product to increase the comfort level sleeping. I like how easy it is to use, causes NO heat damage. The French wrapping technique is a little strange to learn at first, but makes some great curls. I especially like the curls once you brush them out.

Video: I’ve had my hair wrapped all night covered in a silk bonnet. My hair was air dried the night before and I wrapped my hair an hour or so before I went to bed.Photos: Shows The next morning after I took the curls out. They stayed beautifully!I used a bit of medium hairspray to keep the curls all day long. They stayed through to the next day, just a bit more limp. They looked just as beautiful, more wavy showing off more of my length. I love that I did not need to dry my hair (using heat) OR need to straighten and curl (using more heat). My hair was so soft from root to end. I now use this daily It is so simple to install and very quick to take out in the morning. A quickens my morning routine tremendously and I look and feel gorgeous and ready for the day.

For Unruly, Wavy, Easily-Heat-Damaged Hair
Not silk but synthetic fibers weaved together in a satin binding. Made in China, Designed in California. Has helped tame my unruly, frizzy, wavy hair & prevents knots/snarls in my hair when brushing my hair. Turns my waves into tight curls, I can brush through easily without my hair breaking. It gives volume/more definition to my natural waves & creates tight harsh ringlets which I brush/comb out to get a little closer to my softer, gentler waves just with more bounce & definition. I mainly got this to keep my hair from looking unkempt/uncombed/unbrushed as without using some kind of curling tool, my wavy curls go into all directions and creates a velcro texture when brushing from bottom to top & a zipper on velcro effect once reaching the top and going back to the bottom, causing my hair to rip & shred. With this tool, I do *not* get the velcro/zipper on velcro effect. Instead I get hair I can brush through, still looks styled, and well kempt. It does take a lot of practice & there are different ways of wrapping the hair around the rod to get curls; but it does get easier to use. I do find this easier to use than braiding my hair or using sock curlers; and definitely less damaging than a curling iron.As for anyone with stick-straight/straw-straight hair with no curly texture once so ever, I think that hair texture would need hair styling mousse & a lot of hairspray to hold for a full 12 to 24 hours.

Love it!
I have naturally curly, shoulder length hair, but I don’t like the curl. I wash, straighten and then tie my hair up in this and I have nice bouncy waves in the morning. I’m only heat styling my hair when I wash it now, so this is making my hair so much healthier.I found the easiest way to wrap my hair is to bend the band and the nape of my neck and then tie them in the middle of my forehead like unicorn horns. It looks super strange but it’s comfy to sleep in and saves me time in the morning because I don’t have to style my hair.

The only reason I docked a star is that I feel like this isn’t long enough to tie in the back. For a cheap alternative to the Heatless Hair curling ribbon, this is pretty good! I have shoulder length hair and I wasn’t sure if it would work or not because I hardly see any reviews on these with people with short hair. Especially people with layers like me!I highly recommend watching the YouTube video by Milabu called “foolproof heatless curls”. She will show you how to do this do you get a more textured look. If you want a more wavy look, you can curl all your hair the same direction, but her method makes it pretty (in my opinion) and textured. The thing is, her hair is long and pretty and mine is short. So I ran into the problem of having prices of hair in the back that just didn’t curl. What’s super important to do, I have come to find out if you have the same kind of haircut as me, make sure you change how the curling ribbon is sitting on your head. Milabu (I don’t know her real name, sorry) had the ribbon going from her front hair line to the nape of her neck. It works for her because she has long hair so it doesn’t really matter where the curls start for her. But if I just do what she did, I would have non-curled pieces with curly ends, because the hair would be stretched over to the ribbon and would barely be able to wrap around if that makes sense. So instead of going down right towards the nape of my neck, I make sure the ribbon goes a bit more straight back. Now this takes practice. You need the pieces to sit nice and flat and tight onto the ribbon and not bunch up or you won’t get as good of results. So as you wrap, make sure the ribbon is held so that it goes a bit more straight back so that it’s more parallel to the floor. It won’t be perfect and might still slant down, but it’s better than putting it on like youd wear a headband. This will help you actually have curliness in the back. Also it will help you have curls at the top instead of having a flat area and then curls. Now I sometimes like to keep the center part like Milabu, but I often like to part it on the side after I take the curls out. I personally feel like that’s so pretty and really showcases the curls with beautiful volume on the side. It also helps disguise your part. Also I like to tease it a bit on both sides b cause I swear my head is a triangle. Play around with it! Don’t give up on the first try. If you want curls the way I had them, do it the way I suggested. And make sure you do use some sort of anti frizz to help tame it, especially if you have coarser hair like me.Overall I give this specific ribbon an 8/10. I wish it was longer and I wish the wire inside was more impressionable to my head.

Love it!
I was looking for a heatless curling rod that created large curls and this product did just that. Plus I got it earlier that predicted so that was a bonus!

Works great
I’m a side sleeper and didn’t have an issue sleeping in this.It worked pretty well! I didn’t like my hair when it first came out, but once I let the weight of my hair pull the curls down it looked great

Heatless Curls
Tried for the 1st time last night — only my ends were curled. Can tell the product works 1st attempt might have been user error. I will also be dampening my hair next go around.

Perfect length for 22″ extensions.
I actually use 2 rods, so I have more curls. They work great and no heat damage to my hair. I use them every night and wake up to perfectly curled hair. They are simple to use, and it takes no time at all to put them in at night. It did take me a few days to get used to sleeping with them, but now they don’t bother me at all. Love these and have recommended them to several friends and family.

curls are subpar
I like using it for an event I have… the following day. I might be doing something wrong, but immediately after I take them out, my hair is oddly bent in places and kind of frizzy. But when I sleep on the curls, they look like a beautiful healthy wave.

Works on Short Hair
I was hopeful but doubtful that this product would work on my shorter hair (almost two inches above my shoulders) but it worked! It does work better on long hair but it did work on my short hair as well. It’s easy to use but I would recommend looking up a video because the package instructions are pretty vague. It’s also comfortable to sleep on, even as a side sleeper.

Works great! Love this product!
Photos from the first try!I did watch a lot of tutorials before and tried another type of heatless curler, but other one didn’t work for me at all. This worked perfectly! I I dried my hair 95% with a hair dryer and then wore this product for about 2-3 hours while doing things around the house. I attached both pictures – right after taking it off and after brushing through. I didn’t put any hair products except hair oil after brushing. It did last for the rest of the day without any additional products. Next time will try it with! I’m happy with my purchase!
